Stuck

by Stuck

I have been trying to lose weight for a while... like 2 years, OK so I have made and broken so many promises I have no motivation except summer is coming soon!!! How can I become motivated? What is a good goal, 3lbs a week????

Dear Stuck:
Motivation to exercise and lose weight can be an elusive thing. Getting yourself unstuck and working toward your goal depends on what will work for you. The method won't just come to you, you must create it. In other words, wishing for motivation won't work now any better than it did in the past, so you pick up the phone and make an appointment with a personal trainer, or call a friend to join you at the gym, or you join weight watchers and go to the meetings.

Those are just a few ideas of what you might do, but the idea is to DO SOMETHING, take the first step and make the commitment. You can't stick to a plan that was never made, and making a plan is useless unless you act on it.

Best regards,
Cindy
