Rebounding and weight gain

by Elaine
(Barrington , RI)

I started the Needak rebounder 4 days ago and have noticed fluid retention (in my face) and weight gain! I was having a hard time losing weight before that although I eat nutritious food and I don't over eat. I also exercise alot but I'm doing 30 to 40 minutes on the rebounder now as well as some weight work and yoga.

When I got on the scale this morning and my weight was up a few pounds I was very upset. I wonder if the initial reaction of my body may be weight or fluid gain as a result of the flushing of the lymph.

I have also been doing the v-sit abdominal exercise on the rebounder. My abdomen is extended and hard.

My clothes fit very tight today.

Any thoughts? This is very frightening to me as I was having a menopausal weight gain problem to begin with.

Thanks for any help.
E

What worked for me
by: Candice

October 2010 is a month I'll never forget. My father had a massive heart attack and complications with diabetes and soon died. I was crushed. I was 39 years old and weighed 333 pounds. Less than 60 days later I was diagnosed as type II diabetic with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I was obese, afraid and completely drained emotionally and physically.

A former coworker saw my despair. I poured out my heart to her and how I had trouble just making it thru the day. She asked if I'd be willing to try a drink from AdvoCare called Spark to help boost my energy. I agreed and a week later tried Spark. OH MY WORD! It worked, more energy, mental focus, no jitters and no crash & burn! I was sold instantly on Spark.

She then told me about AdvoCare's 24 day challenge program for weight loss. After seeing how Spark worked, I was ready to try this other AdvoCare program. I completed the 24 day challenge program and lost 19 lbs and 21 inches in just 24 days!!! And I'm still going. To date I have lost 48 lbs and I have more energy than I've had in years! I'm now on a mission to share what I have found thru AdvoCare with anyone that has a true desire to lose weight and save their lives like I did to or who just wants more energy to make it thru the day. Let me show you how AdvoCare can help you too. If that's you please contact me today @ getsparktoday@gmail.com! Be Blessed. Candice

Rebounding and Weight Gain
by: Cindy

Hi Elaine:
When I read your submission, I have to admit that this issue is a little beyond my expertise.

Before suggesting you go see your doctor, I consulted with Chad Tackett of Global Health and Fitness, hoping one of his experts might have a suggestion.

He wrote the following:

'I just spoke with one of our medical experts and she agreed that it was most likely just temporary water retention due to either hormones (from menopause) or as she suspected flushing of lymph - or very likely both. She went on to suggest that she consult with her doctor, as expected. I hope this is somewhat helpful.'

You might also find it helpful to consult with a hormone specialist and have some bloodwork done to determine your various hormone levels. Menopause will certainly mess things up but there are therapies that can be used to help combat weight gain and some of the other symptoms associated with fluctuating hormone levels. I know this for a fact as I am seeing a specialist right now for similar reasons.

Hope some of this helps.

Cindy
